2011 Flashback: Chris Polk’s Stellar 1,000-Yard Season

Chris Polk’s 2011 season with the Washington Huskies was nothing short of remarkable. He rushed for 1,488 yards, the second-highest single-season total in the school’s history, and scored 12 rushing touchdowns. This achievement made him one of only two Huskies to have three consecutive 1,000-yard rushing seasons, alongside Napoleon Kaufman.

Throughout the season, Polk demonstrated consistent excellence, recording ten 100-yard rushing games. Notably, he became the first player in Washington’s history to achieve over 100 yards in both rushing and receiving in the same game, showcasing his versatility on the field.

Polk’s performance in 2011 solidified his place as one of the top running backs in Washington Huskies history, leaving a lasting legacy in the program’s record books.
