2025 Warning: Bama’s Coming In Hot, According to a Legend

**Greg McElroy’s All In on Bama Making Big Noise in 2025**

Greg McElroy isn’t just hopeful about Alabama next season—he’s convinced they’re about to turn heads.

On his *Always College Football* podcast, the former Tide QB laid it all out: Vegas has Alabama’s win total at 9.5 for 2025 (same as Georgia and Texas), and McElroy’s hammering the over. “If I had to pick,” he said, “I’m taking Bama over all day.”

Why the confidence? McElroy points to the schedule, the home-field edge at Bryant-Denny, and the new talent Kalen DeBoer’s bringing in after a wild 2024.

Alabama didn’t lose a single home game last season—and McElroy thinks that streak can easily continue. With Wisconsin, Vandy, Tennessee, LSU, Oklahoma, and Eastern Illinois all headed to Tuscaloosa, going 7-0 at home again feels totally doable.

The tougher part? Winning on the road. Trips to Missouri, South Carolina, and Auburn aren’t easy. But McElroy says even snagging three road wins could get them to 10+ victories—something Alabama hasn’t missed in back-to-back seasons since before the Saban era.

And yeah, the Tide lost 41 players this offseason. But they also brought in the country’s No. 3 high school recruiting class. The portal picks didn’t rank high, but Bama’s always been about growing their own stars, not just shopping for quick fixes.

Despite a shaky 9-4 run in 2024—including rough losses to Vandy and Michigan—McElroy isn’t worried. The team beat Georgia when it counted, started the season 4-0, and showed flashes. Most of the issues? Happened on the road. Now DeBoer has SEC experience, and McElroy thinks that makes all the difference.

Forget the doubters—McElroy sees a powerhouse gearing up.

“Alabama’s schedule sets up nicely,” he said. “I like their chances.”
