🚨 Bills Training Camp Is Almost Here… and Some Roster Moves Could Be Too
The Buffalo Bills are just days away from kicking off training camp in Rochester — and with that comes one big question: are we really done building this roster?
Short answer? Probably not.
The front office is about to give this team a long, hard look. If they see any weak spots — especially after early injuries or depth concerns — we could see a surprise signing or two either right before or during camp.
There’s just one problem: money.
Right now, the Bills are actually over the cap — about $810K in the red, according to Spotrac. So yeah, signing anyone won’t be easy. But if GM Brandon Beane wants to get creative, there are a few veterans still out there who could help out without breaking the bank.
Here are 3 names that make sense.
1. 🧱 Carl Lawson – Defensive End
With Landon Jackson already sidelined and on the PUP list, Buffalo’s D-line could use some reinforcements. Lawson isn’t a superstar, but he’s a reliable vet who knows how to pressure the quarterback.
He had 5 sacks and 4 tackles for loss last year with Dallas in 15 games — not bad for a guy who’s more of a rotational pass-rusher. At 30, he’s likely ring-chasing, and joining a contender like Buffalo might be exactly what he’s looking for.
Low risk. Solid depth. Veteran presence. It checks all the boxes.
2. 🛡️ Jordan Poyer – Safety (Yes, again)
  Yep… we’re talking about a potential reunion.
Poyer left the Bills for the Dolphins last season, and while it wasn’t a disaster, it definitely wasn’t the revenge tour Miami hoped for. He started 16 games but didn’t exactly light things up — 98 tackles and just 3 pass breakups.
Still, if he’s open to taking on a backup role and possibly retiring as a Bill (something he’s mentioned), it could be a smart move. He knows the system, he brings leadership, and Buffalo’s safety group is young — no one over 27.
This one wouldn’t be flashy, but it might be necessary.
3. 🧊 Emmanuel Moseley – Cornerback
Don’t expect fireworks here, but Moseley could be a solid depth piece if injuries hit during camp. The Bills already have a crowded cornerback room with Tre White, Dane Jackson, and a pair of promising rookies — so this would be more of a “break glass in case of emergency” move.
That said, Moseley is running out of chances. He’s had two torn ACLs and a torn pec over the last couple of years, and only played 29 special teams snaps last season. But back in 2021, when healthy, he had 11 passes defended and a pick in just 11 games.
If Buffalo brings him in, it’s for depth and special teams. Nothing more, nothing less.
Bottom line?
The Bills don’t have a lot of money, but they’ve got options. Don’t be surprised if one or two of these names pop up once camp kicks off — especially if there’s a surprise injury or a position group underperforms early.
