Revolving Door Disaster: Woman’s Death Sparks Lawsuit Against Trump Hotel

A family from the San Francisco Bay Area is suing the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, claiming negligence led to the tragic death of 78-year-old Diana Truschke.

According to the lawsuit, filed in Clark County District Court, Truschke was visiting the hotel on March 21, 2023, when a malfunctioning revolving door suddenly sped up, throwing her forward. She fell face-first to the ground, suffering serious injuries. Although she received medical treatment, her condition worsened over the months, and she passed away on October 14, 2024.

The family alleges the hotel knew the door was faulty but failed to fix it or warn guests. They argue that the hotel’s negligence directly led to Truschke’s injuries and death. The lawsuit seeks damages for medical expenses, funeral costs, and pain and suffering.

This case has renewed concerns over hotel safety and the importance of proper maintenance. The Trump Organization has yet to respond to the lawsuit, and the case is expected to move forward in court.
