Who’s in Charge? Concerns Grow Over Trump’s ‘Out of Touch’ Moments

It looks like concerns are growing over Trump’s awareness  or  lack thereof  when it comes to major national and international issues. Lately, he’s been brushing off important questions or admitting he doesn’t know much about them, raising alarms about how informed he really is as president.

For example, when asked about four missing U.S. soldiers in Lithuania, he simply said, “No, I haven’t” been briefed and moved on. This was despite the fact that their vehicle had been found submerged, and NATO had even mistakenly reported their deaths before walking it back.

Then there’s the whole Signalgate scandal, where his Defense Secretary, Pete Hegseth, was caught sharing classified information on an insecure channel. When a reporter brought it up, Trump acted like Hegseth wasn’t involved at all, saying, “He had nothing to do with this.” He even tried to blame the messaging app, calling it “defective.”

Critics, including journalists and former officials, are calling Trump “checked out” and “clueless” about crucial intelligence matters. Some point to internal messages from White House staff that suggest even his own team isn’t sure he fully understands what’s happening. One message reportedly showed Vice President J.D. Vance questioning whether Trump realized how his military actions contradicted his stance on Europe.

It’s also raising eyebrows that Trump seems uninvolved in his own administration’s big decisions. He reportedly didn’t know about the Signal chat where top officials were discussing military strikes, and he even denied signing an order that had his signature on it.

The bigger picture? Many are questioning whether there’s any real leadership at the White House, with some even joking that Trump is more tuned into the Golf Channel than global affairs. Former Republican Rep. Barbara Comstock summed it up: “There is no adult supervision.”
