Ole Miss fans have something to cheer about as two of their star players are projected to go in the first round of the upcoming NFL Draft. ESPN’s latest mock draft has quarterback Jaxson Dart heading to the Los Angeles Rams at No. 26 and cornerback Trey Amos landing with the Buffalo Bills at No. 30.
Dart put up monster numbers last season, throwing for over 4,200 yards and 29 touchdowns while also making plays with his legs. Though he wouldn’t start right away in L.A., learning from veterans like Matthew Stafford and Jimmy Garoppolo could set him up for future success.
On the other side of the ball, Amos was a lockdown corner, making quarterbacks think twice before throwing his way. He snagged three interceptions, defended 13 passes, and racked up 50 tackles. With the Bills eyeing a Super Bowl run, his addition could make their defense even scarier.
Despite Ole Miss’ strong 11-win season, missing the College Football Playoff was a letdown. But with Dart and Amos poised to make an impact at the next level, the Rebels are still making headlines.
