Ex-Lions WR Reunites with Aaron Glenn in New York

Josh Reynolds is heading to the Big Apple. The former Detroit Lions wide receiver has signed a one-year deal with the New York Jets, reuniting with Aaron Glenn, who is now in his first season as the team’s head coach. The contract is worth up to $5 million, including $2.75 million guaranteed.

Reynolds arrived in Detroit in 2021 after being waived by the Tennessee Titans, quickly becoming a reliable target for Jared Goff. Over parts of three seasons with the Lions, he recorded 97 catches for 1,393 yards and 10 touchdowns. While he was never the team’s top receiver, he provided valuable depth behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, stepping up in key moments.

Now, he brings his experience to the Jets, where he’ll help bolster a receiving corps that needs reinforcements. For Glenn, adding a familiar face from Detroit is another step in building the culture he wants in New York. Meanwhile, Reynolds gets a fresh opportunity to contribute in a new system as the Jets look to reshape their offense.
