Noel Gallagher Didn’t Realize ‘How Much of a Big Deal’ Oasis Reunion Tour Would Be: ‘I Was a Bit Taken Aback’

Noel Gallagher has expressed surprise at the overwhelming response to Oasis’s reunion tour. He remarked, “I thought it’d be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was.”

The tour, marking the band’s first performances together in 16 years, quickly sold out, prompting the addition of dates across the UK, Ireland, the US, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Oceania. Despite efforts to combat scalping through partnerships with platforms like Twickets for face-value resales, fans encountered long wait times and inflated prices on secondary markets. Oasis responded by canceling 50,000 secondary market tickets and addressing concerns about dynamic pricing, clarifying that pricing decisions were left to promoters and management.

Reflecting on the band’s catalog, Noel identified “Supersonic,” “Some Might Say,” “Live Forever,” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star” as some of his favorite Oasis songs.

The reunion tour is set to commence on July 4 in Cardiff, Wales, and will conclude on November 23 in São Paulo, Brazil.
