“I came from nothing,” Stewart told reporters. “I’ve never been the person to not be humble. I’ve been humbled a lot of times, so I remain humble no matter where I get in life.”
His humility and determination have translated into a standout collegiate career at Texas A&M, where he recorded 65 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and four passes defensed.

At 6-foot-5 and 267 pounds, Stewart is an imposing presence on the defensive line. However, his impact goes beyond just raw numbers.
“I wasn’t a sack-chasing warrior,” Stewart explained at the NFL Scouting Combine. “I just wanted to become the best player for my team, and sometimes the stats don’t show that. Sometimes I had to play dead to rights, and sometimes I just couldn’t finish or couldn’t get there in time. But also, teams were not going to sit there and pat the ball against us. We had a stacked D-line. Everybody knew better than just sit there and pat the ball against us.”

Beyond his on-field production, Stewart boasts one of the most impressive athletic profiles in recent draft history. His Relative Athletic Score (RAS) of 9.99 ranks third all-time among 1,802 defensive ends measured over the past four decades.
