Reports have been pouring in that Horton has been nearly “unstoppable” during spring practices, impressing everyone with his speed and ability to create big plays. Former Alabama QB and current media member, Greg McElroy, mentioned that Horton has been tough to defend and could be a game-changer for the Crimson Tide this fall.
Horton had a solid run at Miami, with 56 catches for 616 yards and 5 touchdowns last season. He went off during a four-game stretch where he had 23 catches for 242 yards and 4 touchdowns. A 4-star recruit in 2022, he transferred to Alabama after three years with the Hurricanes.
With quarterback Ty Simpson leading the charge, Horton, along with Williams and Germie Bernard, are set to be key players in Alabama’s receiving room. Other sophomores like Cole Adams, Jaylen Mbakwe, and Jalen Hale will also be competing for spots, with Adams having the only reception from last year. Things are looking promising for Alabama’s offense this season!
