Three former Alabama football players are shaking things up with new jersey numbers for the 2025 season with the Detroit Lions.
Cornerback Terrion Arnold will now wear No. 6, running back Jahmyr Gibbs is switching to No. 0, and wide receiver Jameson Williams is going back to his college number, No. 1.
Williams had worn No. 9 since joining the Lions, but now that Maurice Alexander—last season’s No. 1—is with the Chicago Bears, Williams is reclaiming the number he wore at Alabama.
Arnold, who wore No. 3 in college, had been wearing No. 0 as a rookie in Detroit. With safety Ifeatu Melifonwu heading to the Miami Dolphins in free agency, Arnold took over the No. 6 jersey.
That left the No. 0 spot open, which Gibbs happily took. He wore No. 1 at Alabama but had been wearing No. 26 for the Lions.
