Alabama’s wheelchair basketball players Tim Houston, Collin Lancaster, and assistant coach Michael Auprince were key players in helping Team USA clinch a gold medal at the 2025 IWBF U23 Americas Championship, beating Canada 71-44. Houston led the charge, scoring 13 points and grabbing 9 rebounds, while also dishing out 8 assists and getting a steal in 34 minutes on the floor, which was more than any other player. Lancaster also had a great showing off the bench, scoring 10 points and contributing 2 assists in just 11 minutes. Next up, Houston, Lancaster, and Auprince will head to São Paulo, Brazil, for the IWBF U23 World Championships in June.
