Liam Gallagher, the former Oasis frontman, has enlisted top US celebrity lawyer Judith Poller for his upcoming child support case in New York. The case revolves around a request from his ex-lover, Liza Ghorbani, to increase the maintenance payments for their 12-year-old daughter, Gemma.
Gallagher, who has not met Gemma, previously agreed to maintenance payments a decade ago. However, Ghorbani, a journalist, is now seeking an increase in those payments. The case will be heard by Judge Jeffrey Pearlman in the New York Supreme Court on April 16, with a second hearing scheduled for April 28 if the judge determines there is a valid case to proceed.
This legal matter comes as Gallagher prepares for the upcoming Oasis reunion tour, which is expected to generate a reported $64 million (£50 million). Gallagher, who has four children from previous relationships, including Molly, Lennon, and Gene, faces a challenging court case with significant financial implications.
