At Colorado’s NFL Pro Day, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter definitely turned heads in front of all 32 NFL teams. Sanders, confident and cool as ever, mentioned he’s not concerned about starting his NFL career in a big city or flashy market. He’s ready to shine no matter where he lands, even if it’s Cleveland. “I can bring the cameras and attention wherever I go,” he said after delivering perfect passes to Hunter, along with Jimmy Horn Jr., Will Sheppard, and LaJohnty Wester.
Shedeur even boldly claimed he’s the top QB in the upcoming draft, although experts predict other players, like Miami’s Cam Ward, may be taken first. Meanwhile, Hunter, who’s also being eyed as a top pick, skipped the drills but still showed off his impressive skills catching passes. Both he and Sanders skipped the NFL combine and Big 12 pro day but were ready to perform on their own turf.
Hunter, who earned a Heisman, wants to play both offense and defense in the NFL. NFL legend Champ Bailey shared that it’ll depend on where he lands, as some teams may not be open to him playing both ways. But wherever he ends up, Hunter is sure his talent will shine through.
Both Sanders brothers Shedeur and Shilton were at the pro day, with Shilo impressing by running a 4.52-second 40-yard dash despite a sore shoulder. For Shedeur, having his brother there to cheer him on was a highlight. “We’re all going to be legendary,” he said, confident that wherever they go, they’re destined for greatness.
