Alabama’s softball team managed to wrap up the weekend on a high note with a solid road win over LSU, avoiding a complete series sweep. That win helped them end the week with a 3-2 record, including earlier victories against Alabama State and Samford.

Even though they dropped two games, that clutch win against a top-10 team kept Bama safely in the national rankings. They actually moved up one spot to No. 22 in the USA Softball Top 25 and are still ranked in all the major polls.

They’re sitting at No. 18 in the RPI too, which keeps them right in the conversation for hosting a regional later on. And things are about to get interesting—No. 2 Oklahoma is rolling into town this weekend for a three-game series at Rhoads Stadium. It’ll be Oklahoma’s first time playing as part of the SEC, so expect a big showdown.
