The New York Giants are making moves in free agency, and this time, they’re hosting veteran defensive end DeMarcus Walker for a visit. Walker, who’s 31 and heading into his eighth NFL season, has had quite the journey. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2017, played for the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and Chicago Bears over the years.
In 2022, Walker had a breakout year with 7 sacks while playing for the Titans. He followed that up with a solid season in 2024, starting all 17 games for the Bears, finishing with 3.5 sacks and a career-high 47 tackles. With 26.5 sacks in 100 career games, Walker brings solid experience to the table.
The Giants have already made some additions to their defensive line this offseason, but bringing in a player like Walker could strengthen their pass rush even more. We’ll see if this visit leads to a deal!
