We’re just two weeks out from the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, and CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson just dropped a fresh three-round mock. With the top two QBs already off the board, Wilson sees the Giants going bold with one of the most electric players in college football — Colorado’s Travis Hunter.
Hunter, who won the Heisman last season, is a true two-way threat at both corner and wide receiver. Wilson calls him “the best athlete — and the best player — in this draft.” The big question? Where he’ll play. The NFL isn’t built for guys to play 120 snaps like he did in college, so a team will have to pick a side or balance both carefully.
His numbers speak for themselves:
On defense: 4 INTs, 11 passes defended, 1 forced fumble, 36 tackles
On offense: 96 catches, 1,258 yards, 15 TDs
Oh, and he took home pretty much every award you can think of — Heisman, Biletnikoff, AP Player of the Year, Big 12 Defensive POY, and more.
Wilson’s Giants picks didn’t stop there.
Round 2 (No. 34): Donovan Jackson, OL, Ohio State
Jackson was a rock for the Buckeyes, starting at guard before stepping up at left tackle when injuries hit. He only gave up two sacks all year and helped OSU win the national title. A three-time All-Big Ten pick, Jackson could bring some much-needed power and flexibility to the Giants’ O-line.
Round 3 (No. 65): Joshua Farmer, DT, Florida State
A rising force on FSU’s defense, Farmer posted 4 sacks and 8 tackles for loss last season. He’s 6’3″, 305 pounds and brings energy, leadership (won the Bobby Bowden Award), and depth to the interior D-line.
Round 3 (No. 99): Tyler Shough, QB, Louisville
Shough is a seasoned vet with seven college seasons under his belt across three schools. Injuries were a factor early in his career, but in 2024 he finally had a full, healthy season — going 8-4 as a starter and tossing for 3,195 yards and 23 TDs. He was an ACC honorable mention and a Comeback Player of the Year winner. Definitely a solid developmental QB option for Big Blue.
