With teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders strengthening their squads, the Cowboys are in a tough spot. To stay competitive in the NFC East, the Cowboys need to make smart moves in the draft.
One potential game-changer could be Matthew Golden, a standout wide receiver from the University of Texas. Golden has been impressive, especially with his blazing speed (he clocked a 4.29-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine), making him a prime candidate for the Cowboys to grab. He could be the explosive weapon they need to support CeeDee Lamb and elevate their passing game.
Golden’s college career was solid; he transferred from the University of Houston to Texas and led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns in 2024.
