Way-Too-Early Cuts? 6 Eagles Who Could Be Gone by 2026

6 Eagles Players Who Might Be Gone in 2026 Due to Cap Space Issues

Roster cuts aren’t always about talent  sometimes it’s just about money. Looking ahead to the 2026 offseason, the Eagles may have to make some tough calls to stay under the salary cap. Here are a few players who could be on the chopping block:

1. Jahan Dotson – WR
Dotson was a first-round pick by Washington in 2022, and Philly could pick up his fifth-year option after the 2025-26 season. But given how the Eagles have cycled through depth receivers lately, don’t be surprised if they let him walk. They’ve done it with guys like Zach Pascal and Julio Jones before.

2. Grant Calcaterra – TE
With Dallas Goedert possibly on his way out, Calcaterra might step into the TE1 role. But he’s far from a lock for the future. If he doesn’t impress this season, he could be gone next year.

3. Jordan Davis – DT
Davis is a bit of a mystery. He’s a starter on paper, but his snap count says otherwise. He’s another former first-rounder with a fifth-year option, and while the team likes him, it feels like they expected more dominance from him by now. His future is very much up in the air.

4. Kenyon Green – OL
Another 2022 first-rounder (originally with the Texans), Green came to Philly in the C.J. Gardner-Johnson trade. With all the offensive line depth added this offseason, he’ll have to fight for his spot. He could start at guard, or he could be a one-and-done guy.

5. Lewis Cine – S
Cine’s place on the roster isn’t safe, especially if Philly adds more depth at safety through the draft. The more guys they bring in, the more Cine could be squeezed out. He’s also set to be a restricted free agent next offseason, so his future depends a lot on what happens this year.

6. Eli Ricks – CB
Ricks, a former undrafted free agent, has had some decent moments, but he’s still on the bubble. Philly has the option to match any offer he gets as a restricted free agent, but it’s unclear if they will.

Honorable Mention: Dallas Goedert – TE
Goedert is still on the team, but his contract ends after the 2025 season. Even if he stays one more year, it feels like this could be his last in midnight green.
