New Bears Guard Jonah Jackson Thinks Chicago’s the Place to Win a Ring
Jonah Jackson’s been on the move lately leaving the Lions for the Rams in free agency, and then getting traded from the Rams to the Bears. On paper, it might not look like he’s getting closer to a championship, but Jackson sees it differently.
After a rough, injury-filled season with the Rams where he missed 13 games, Jackson feels like Chicago is the perfect spot to reset his career. And more than that, he truly believes the Bears are building something special.
“All that matters is how you bounce back,” Jackson told GoLongTD.com. “I’m excited to get back to it, play a full season, and chase a damn ring.”
He’s also pumped to reunite with Bears head coach Ben Johnson, who he worked with back in Detroit. Jackson thinks Johnson is going to turn the culture around in Chicago, getting everyone locked in on winning as a team just like what happened with the Lions when Jackson first got drafted there in 2020.
“Screw the personal accolades,” Jackson said. “It’s all about winning it all. The Bears have a rich history they’ve been there before. We’re excited to be part of a turnaround. I’ve seen it happen before, and I know we can do it again.”
Jackson’s hoping he can help Chicago finally break their playoff drought they haven’t won a postseason game since 2010 and maybe even bring home their first Super Bowl trophy since 1985.
