The Detroit Lions are once again giving back to Michigan schools through their popular “Touchdown in Your Town” program — and applications for the 2025 edition are now officially open.
In partnership with the United Dairy Industry of Michigan and Planet Fitness, the Lions are offering local high school football and cheer teams a chance to receive game-changing support. That includes equipment, technology, gear, and grants through the Detroit Lions Foundation. Even better, Planet Fitness will step in to revamp one lucky school’s weight room, while UDIM is pitching in with a milk grant to support nutrition.
Roxanne Caine, the team’s Vice President of Community Relations, shared excitement about continuing the initiative into its seventh year: “After extending our reach last year by adding cheer programs into the mix, we look forward to keeping the momentum going and supporting Michigan’s student athletes.”
Applications are open now through May 29, and with over $839,000 already invested since 2019, this program continues to make a real impact across the state.
