Dallas Targets RB in Draft  Jeanty Not on Radar”

The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for the 2025 NFL Draft, and there’s been a lot of buzz about them selecting a running back. Many thought it would be former Boise State star Ashton Jeanty, but the latest predictions have them going in a different direction.

Instead of Jeanty, NFL.com’s Chad Reuter has the Cowboys picking TreVeyon Henderson, the standout running back from Ohio State, in the second round. Reuter believes Dallas will first grab Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden in the first round, with Jeanty heading to the New England Patriots at No. 4 overall.

Henderson had an impressive career with the Buckeyes, helping them win the national championship in 2024. He ran for 1,016 yards and scored 11 total touchdowns, averaging a solid 7.1 yards per carry. That’s the kind of performance the Cowboys could use in their backfield after finishing as one of the worst rushing teams in 2024.

While they’ve addressed the running back position by signing veterans Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, the Cowboys are still looking for a true starting back to improve their offense and make a run at the playoffs in 2025.
