Over the past couple of years, Hutchinson has basically been flying solo when it comes to pressuring quarterbacks. The Lions have tried different options, but between injuries and inconsistency, nobody’s really stuck as that true partner on the other side.
Now, according to Pro Football Network, veteran pass rusher Emmanuel Ogbah might be on Detroit’s radar. Ogbah, who last played for the Dolphins, has had his moments and wouldn’t cost much — which matters since the team needs to save cash for future deals with young stars like Hutchinson and Kerby Joseph.
The cool part? Ogbah wouldn’t even need to start right away. He could be a solid rotational guy and step up when injuries hit — and let’s be honest, they always do.
Whether this actually happens or not, it’s clear GM Brad Holmes is still looking to fine-tune the roster. With Super Bowl hopes creeping into the picture, every move counts.
