Bills Beware: 4 Prospects That Could Bust at Pick 30

4 Players the Buffalo Bills Should Stay Away From in the 2025 NFL Draft

The Buffalo Bills have one of the best rosters in the NFL, but 2024 didn’t end how they hoped  falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC title game again. Now they’re reloading for another shot at a championship in 2025. They made some solid free agency moves, bringing in guys like edge rusher Joey Bosa, receiver Joshua Palmer, and defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi.

Holding the No. 30 pick in this year’s draft, the Bills have a few ways they could go  but here are four prospects they should probably pass on.

1. Luther Burden III, WR, Missouri
Yes, the Bills could use another wide receiver, and Burden is a good one with smooth routes and reliable hands. The problem? There are some off-field concerns that might be risky for a team chasing a Super Bowl. Plus, it might be smarter to focus on bolstering the defense here.

2. Kenneth Grant, DL, Michigan
A lot of mock drafts link Grant to Buffalo — but the fit seems off. He’s a massive run-stuffing nose tackle, better suited for a defense built around that position. The Bills’ 4-3 scheme needs a more versatile, pass-rushing lineman instead of a space-eater like Grant.

3. Benjamin Morrison, CB, Notre Dame
Defense is a good direction with this pick, but Morrison isn’t the guy. He’s coming off a bad hip injury that cut his 2024 season short and affected his play when he was on the field. His interception numbers dropped too. The Bills would be better off looking at healthier, safer options at corner.

4. Shavon Revel, CB, East Carolina
Like Morrison, Revel is another talented corner who dealt with a serious injury last year. Add to that the fact he didn’t face top-level competition in college, and it makes taking him in the first round a risky move. If Buffalo’s set on picking a corner, someone like Trey Amos would be a smarter, safer bet.
