McMillian wasn’t the only late pick to defy the odds. A few other Alabama players who were selected much later than expected still made a mark in the NFL. These include Thomas Rayam (picked 270th in 1990) and Terry Jones (284th in 1978), who each had notable careers despite their low draft numbers.
So while the 2025 draft may see some players slip under the radar, history shows that Alabama’s late picks still have the potential to make a big impact.
