With the NFL Draft kicking off Thursday, Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe is getting a lot of buzz. Although many didn’t expect him to be a first-round pick, that might be changing fast.

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, multiple coaches and scouts are calling Milroe the best running quarterback they’ve ever evaluated. Yes, even better than Lamar Jackson, who’s known for his insane speed and mobility.

Pelissero shared the scoop on Good Morning Football, saying, “Not just one, but several scouts and coaches told me Milroe is the greatest runner they’ve ever seen at QB.”

Milroe chose to enter the 2025 NFL Draft even though he had one more year of eligibility left. Last season at Alabama, he ran for 726 yards and scored 20 rushing touchdowns. He also turned heads at Alabama’s pro day by clocking a blazing 4.40-second 40-yard dash.
