Cam Skattebo Isn’t Bothered by Doubters—He’s Ready to Prove Himself

The New York Giants have a fresh face in their backfield—Cam Skattebo, a tough-running back who made waves at Arizona State. He had a standout final college season, racking up over 1,700 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns. But despite that, he knows he’s starting from scratch in the NFL.

During rookie minicamp, Skattebo didn’t hold back when addressing critics. He was upfront: “You haven’t seen me play a single NFL snap. I haven’t proven anything yet,” he said. And he’s fine with that—it just adds fuel to his fire.

Skattebo’s not exactly the fastest guy on the field, and he knows that. But his strength and physical style of play are what he’s betting on to make an impact. He’s used to being doubted and actually embraces it. “If people want to sleep on me, go ahead,” he said. “I’ll just keep doing what I need to do to succeed and stick around in this league.”

Clearly, he’s got the right mindset—ready to work, ignore the noise, and show he belongs in the NFL.
