Cornhusker Star Could Be the Next Crimson Tide Catch

Iowa State Commit Jett Thomalla Checking Out Bama After Offer Rolls In

Jett Thomalla, a four-star QB out of Omaha, Nebraska, has his eyes on Tuscaloosa after snagging an offer from Alabama.

Thomalla, currently pledged to Iowa State, is part of the 2026 class and plays for Millard South High School. Bama made it clear they’re serious about grabbing a QB this cycle when they handed him the offer last week.

“They’ve been a powerhouse for years,” Thomalla told Touchdown Alabama. “It’s kind of every kid’s dream to hear from a school that big. I’m just super grateful.”

The offer came straight from Tide offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb, and QB coach Nick Sheridan even saw Thomalla throw in person. A few days later, both coaches hit him up with the big news.

Now, a visit to Alabama is on the table. Thomalla says communication with the staff has been nonstop. “Sheridan’s been calling either me, my dad, or even my QB coach almost every day since he visited,” he said. “He’s clearly interested. We’ll head down there soon and meet the rest of the crew.”

The 6’4″, 200-pound gunslinger is no joke—he threw for 3,664 yards and 47 touchdowns as a junior, completing 70% of his passes. He’s got a cannon, great touch, and the athleticism to keep plays alive when things break down.

Bottom line: Alabama isn’t just flirting—they’re going all in on Thomalla.
