Two Yankees fans, Austin Capobianco and John P. Hansen, have been banned indefinitely from all MLB stadiums after a wild incident during Game 4 of the 2024 World Series. The drama unfolded when Los Angeles Dodgers star Mookie Betts made an incredible foul ball catch near the stands at Yankee Stadium. Instead of cheering, these fans crossed the line—literally. They grabbed Betts’ wrist and tried to snatch the ball right out of his glove.
The league wasn’t having it. MLB labeled their behavior as “unacceptable,” citing safety concerns for the players. In a letter obtained by The New York Post, the league warned the duo that showing up at any MLB event would result in removal—and maybe even trespassing charges. The Yankees and MLB jointly agreed on the lifetime ban.
