After a monster season that earned him first-team All-Pro honors, Amon-Ra St. Brown is hitting a bit of a speed bump before the 2025 campaign gets rolling. The Detroit Lions wideout revealed Thursday that he’s been rehabbing from a knee surgery he had shortly after the season ended.
“It was just to clean some stuff up,” St. Brown told reporters. “I’ve been rehabbing since, but I should be good to go for training camp.”
The 25-year-old has been one of the league’s most reliable receivers since Detroit stole him in the fourth round of the 2021 draft. Last year, he led the Lions in receptions (115), receiving yards (1,263), and scored a career-best 12 touchdowns.
With expectations sky-high in Detroit following a 15-2 regular season and back-to-back NFC North titles, St. Brown says the mission is clear: Super Bowl or bust.
“At this point, we want to win a Super Bowl; that’s it,” he said. “Obviously, we’ve got to make the playoffs to win the Super Bowl, but that’s understood by everyone.”
The Lions are dealing with a few changes this offseason—most notably the loss of some key veterans and longtime center Frank Ragnow’s retirement. But if St. Brown is back healthy by July, Detroit’s offense should still have plenty of firepower to make a serious run.
