Alabama football, like most college programs these days, saw a wave of players hit the transfer portal after the 2024 season. In total, 21 players left following the regular season and the ReliaQuest Bowl. When you factor in Naquil Betrand and Jaheim Oatis, who exited before the season ended, the number jumps to 23.
Offensively, the Tide lost 12 players. This group combined for 23 passing yards, 519 rushing yards, 485 receiving yards, seven rushing touchdowns, and two receiving touchdowns last season.
Defensively, 11 players moved on, taking with them 92 tackles, 0.5 sacks, two tackles for loss, two QB hurries, and seven pass deflections.
On the bright side, Alabama picked up nine players from the portal to help fill the gaps.
The transfer portal continues to reshape college football, and Alabama isn’t immune to the changes. For now, the Tide is focused on reloading and preparing for another strong season.
