Because apparently, the real crime isn’t losing minutes — it’s LeBron helping his own kid.
In today’s episode of Things Everyone Already Knew, a former Los Angeles Lakers center has bravely stepped forward to expose what he calls “nepotism” between LeBron James and his son, Bronny. Yes, you read that right — LeBron James, father, supports his own child. Alert the ethics committee.
The anonymous ex-player (probably still waiting for a callback from his agent) accused LeBron of using his influence to open doors for Bronny — doors that, to be fair, might’ve opened anyway considering Bronny’s last name literally is James.
Social media, of course, has split into two camps:
- Camp A: “It’s nepotism! He’s only there because of his dad!”
- Camp B: “Yeah… and? Welcome to Earth.”
Let’s be honest — the NBA has seen its share of dynasties. From Curry to Hardaway to Sabonis, the family tree has deep roots in the league. But when it’s LeBron, suddenly we’re talking about a global conspiracy.
Maybe the bigger story isn’t about nepotism — it’s about how many people still get shocked when famous, powerful dads do what famous, powerful dads do: give their kids a leg up. It’s not scandal; it’s literally a parenting instinct.
So while critics debate fairness, LeBron and Bronny will keep doing what they do best — hooping, hustling, and proving that sometimes, blood really does get the rebound.
