Ankle Sprain Sidelines St. Brown This Week, But Lions Won’t Rule Him Out

The injury watch on Detroit Lions wideout Amon-Ra St. Brown continues going into Week 14 — but for now, there’s still a sliver of hope he’ll suit up. St. Brown was a non-participant again at the team’s latest practice as he recovers from a low ankle sprain suffered on Thanksgiving.

Despite missing practice, Detroit hasn’t officially ruled him out for Thursday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. According to head coach Dan Campbell, while St. Brown “is doing better,” his availability will come down to a game-day decision.

The prognosis is that if the sprain heals quickly, St. Brown could return as soon as next week — but Thursday remains uncertain. If he doesn’t play, the Lions will likely lean more heavily on receivers like Jameson Williams and Isaac TeSlaa, who stepped up when St. Brown missed time in Week 13.

For Detroit — and for fantasy managers — the coming days will be all about watching the ankle closely and waiting for word after warmups. Until then, St. Brown remains a question mark.
