M72 World Tour Expansion
Metallica has extended their M72 World Tour into 2025, featuring additional dates across North America, Australia, and other regions. The tour is notable for its “No Repeat Weekend” format, where the band performs different setlists on consecutive nights in the same city. Opening acts vary by location and include bands such as Pantera, Limp Bizkit, Suicidal Tendencies, and Ice Nine Kills. Notably, the tour will include Metallica’s debut performance at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Virginia, on May 7, 2025.
Australian Tour Announcement
In November 2025, Metallica is set to return to Australia for the first time since 2013. The tour will cover cities including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney. They will be joined by supporting acts Evanescence and Suicidal Tendencies. Tickets are expected to be in high demand, with presales beginning on October 30, 2024, and general sales starting on November 4, 2024.
Charitable Efforts
Demonstrating their commitment to philanthropy, Metallica’s foundation, All Within My Hands, donated $500,000 to Los Angeles fire relief efforts on January 13, 2025. The funds were distributed equally between the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund and the Pasadena Community Foundation’s Eaton Canyon Fire Relief and Recovery Fund.
