The investment group also includes NBA legends Grant Hill and Chris Webber, and they are aiming to submit a bid to reintroduce a WNBA franchise to Detroit. The city previously hosted the Detroit Shock, a dominant force in the league from 1998 to 2009 before relocating to Tulsa and eventually becoming the Dallas Wings.
