Travis Kelce is responding to rumors that the NFL is rigging games in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs after they made it to their third straight Super Bowl. The Chiefs punched their ticket to the big game, where they’ll face the Philadelphia Eagles, by beating the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship.
Some critics online have been saying that the NFL is showing favoritism to the Chiefs, and even the former NFL VP got involved in the conversation. Travis joked about the whole thing when he appeared on his brother Jason Kelce’s show on ESPN.
Travis called into the show on February 1, ahead of the Super Bowl on February 9, since he couldn’t be there in person. Jason joked that if they had lost, Travis wouldn’t have been on the call, but Travis fired back, saying he’d have shown up either way. When Jason cracked a joke about Bills QB Josh Allen, Travis defended him, saying, “He played his tail off.” Jason then teased Travis about the officiating, but Travis insisted everything was fair.
