Lions quarterback Jared Goff led the NFC to a 76-63 victory in the Pro Bowl Games flag football finale, earning Offensive MVP honors after tossing three touchdowns. His standout performance capped off an eventful weekend for the NFC.
On the defensive side, Vikings cornerback Byron Murphy earned Defensive MVP, solidifying the NFC’s dominance throughout the games.
Goff’s impressive showing began on Thursday night during the Pro Bowl Games opener, where he showcased pinpoint accuracy in the “passing the test” event. With help from Green Bay’s Josh Jacobs in an NFL trivia contest, Goff hit nearly every target within a minute and 30 seconds, racking up 44 points — five more than teammate Sam Darnold from Minnesota.
The NFC quarterbacks, including Goff, Darnold, and Tampa Bay’s Baker Mayfield, had no trouble defeating the AFC trio of Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow, New England’s Drake Maye, and Pittsburgh’s Russell Wilson in the event.
The night featured six competitions, with the NFC dominating most of them. They claimed victory in two out of three relay races, a skills challenge called “satisfying catches,” and a fun game show called “helmet harmony,” which was reminiscent of “The Newlywed Game.” The NFC’s cohesive performance set the tone for their weekend success.
