Jared Goff Praises Former OC Ben Johnson, Prepares for New Leadership
Lions quarterback Jared Goff had high praise for his former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who recently became the head coach of the Chicago Bears. Speaking at the Pro Bowl, Goff credited Johnson for making a “ton of difference” in his career and wished he didn’t have to face him twice a year.
With Johnson gone, Detroit has turned to John Morton as their new OC. Morton, who previously worked with the Lions in 2022 and spent the last two seasons with the Broncos, brings familiarity to Goff and the offense. After leading the NFL in points last season, Goff is optimistic about continuing that success under Morton’s guidance.
