The 2025 Senior Bowl is over, and after getting a firsthand look at some of the top prospects in Mobile, I have a much clearer picture of what the Pittsburgh Steelers might do in the upcoming NFL Draft. With that in mind, here’s my first mock draft of the offseason.
Round 1, Pick 21: Kenneth Grant, IDL, Michigan
The Steelers have made it clear that strengthening the defensive line is a priority, likely in response to Derrick Henry torching them twice last season. Grant is a massive, athletic defensive tackle who weighs 340 pounds but moves like a much lighter player. His motor and pass-rush upside make him an exciting addition, and his ability to play out to a three-technique means he could have an immediate impact.
Round 2, Pick 52: Jack Bech, WR, TCU
Bech was projected as a third-rounder entering the Senior Bowl but may have played his way into the second round. He’s a tough, physical receiver who can play both outside and in the slot. His blocking ability, crisp route running, and strong hands make him an ideal fit in Pittsburgh’s offense.
Round 3, Pick 85: Denzel Burke, CB, Ohio State
Burke is a long, physical corner who fits the Steelers’ mold. He’s aggressive in the run game and has the ball skills Pittsburgh values. His versatility could allow him to play inside at times, but he primarily gives the Steelers a potential lockdown outside corner.
Round 4, Pick 122: Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Virginia Tech
Tuten wasn’t on my radar before the Senior Bowl, but his speed and pass-protection ability stood out. He’s a perfect fit for Arthur Smith’s zone running scheme and could be a strong complementary piece to Jaylen Warren in the backfield.
Round 5, Pick 163: Jamaree Caldwell, IDL, Oregon
Caldwell is an under-the-radar nose tackle who could be a great value pick. He’s a run-stuffer with serious strength and would help solidify the Steelers’ defensive line depth.
Round 7, Pick 225: Tyler Shough, QB, Louisville
The Steelers will likely take a quarterback at some point in the draft, and Shough makes sense as a late-round flyer. He’s 25 years old but has intriguing arm talent and showed flashes at the Senior Bowl.
Round 7, Pick 238: Jalen Rivers, OL, Miami
Rivers missed time this season, but when healthy, he’s a powerful lineman with versatility. He can play tackle or guard, giving Pittsburgh much-needed depth along the offensive line.
Round 7, Pick 247: Alijah Huzzie, CB, North Carolina
At just 5’9”, Huzzie is on the smaller side, but he’s a sticky cover corner who impressed at the Shrine Bowl. Adding another slot corner makes sense for Pittsburgh’s defense.
This mock addresses the Steelers’ biggest needs while adding upside at key positions. Let’s see how things evolve as free agency unfolds.
