Steelers Share Contract Terms for Justin Fields: What’s on the Table?

The Pittsburgh Steelers are interested in bringing back quarterback Justin Fields, but the biggest factor in making that happen will be his market. They’re currently in talks with Fields and Russell Wilson about a potential deal.

Spotrac’s market value estimate puts Fields at around $7 million for a one-year deal, which seems a bit low, but it’s based on comparisons from previous contracts.

It’s likely that Fields will get more than that, and the Steelers are hoping to lock him down for more than just the 2025 season, as team president Art Rooney II has mentioned wanting Fields on a multi-year deal.

Fields, who has expressed interest in returning to Pittsburgh because he doesn’t want to learn a new playbook, may face competition from other teams looking to upgrade at quarterback. The New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Giants are all potential suitors for Fields, making it a little more complicated for the Steelers to secure him. Still, a return to Pittsburgh is definitely a possibility.
