Detroit Lakes Lions Club Brings Bowling Tournament to Polar Fest for the First Time
For the first time, the Detroit Lakes Lions Club is aligning its annual bowling tournament with Polar Fest, adding an extra layer of fun to the winter celebration. Set for Sunday, Feb. 23, at Voyageur Lanes, the tournament features two shifts at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., with up to 32 four-person teams competing for trophies and door prizes.
More than just a competition, this event serves as a fundraiser for the Lakes Crisis & Resource Center. Participants can enjoy unique bowling variations like midnight bowling, 8 Pin No-Tap, and Scotch Doubles, making it a lively and entertaining experience. Registration is $120 per team, and the Lions Club hopes to attract at least 30 teams for a great cause.
