The Lions seemed poised for a deep postseason run after finishing the regular season 15-2, locking down the NFC’s top seed, and winning their second consecutive division title. Despite battling injuries, many believed this was their year to finally make it to the Super Bowl.
But instead, Detroit’s season ended a week earlier than anticipated with a frustrating loss to the No. 6 seed Washington Commanders. Washington didn’t fare well either, getting crushed by the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game.
