Hey, did you catch the NFL Honors? Josh Allen snagged the MVP award, edging out Lamar Jackson in a tight race. Allen threw for 3,731 yards and 28 touchdowns, plus he ran for 531 yards and 12 more scores. Jackson wasn’t far behind, with 4,172 passing yards and 41 TDs.
Saquon Barkley took home Offensive Player of the Year after racking up 2,005 rushing yards in his first season with the Eagles. He’s just 30 yards shy of setting the all-time single-season record, including playoffs.
On the defensive side, Patrick Surtain II was named Defensive Player of the Year. He allowed only 37 receptions and snagged four interceptions, making life tough for opposing quarterbacks.
Joe Burrow earned Comeback Player of the Year after bouncing back from wrist surgery to lead the league with 4,918 passing yards and 43 touchdowns. He played all 17 games for the Bengals this season.
Rookie QB Jayden Daniels nearly swept the votes for Offensive Rookie of the Year, helping the Washington Commanders to a 12-win season. He threw for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns, and ran for 891 yards and six more scores.
Lastly, Ben Johnson was named Assistant Coach of the Year for leading the Lions’ offense to top the league in scoring. He’s now set to coach the Chicago Bears.
