Anzalone took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his plans, posting: “Anzalone family is watching Beauty and the Beast right now.” The post quickly gained traction, amassing over 145,000 views, as Lions fans joined in with humorous and supportive comments.
The decision to skip the game likely comes from a painful end to the Lions’ season. Detroit went 15-2 in the regular season, securing home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs. But a stunning 45-31 loss to the Washington Commanders in the Divisional Round dashed their Super Bowl hopes.
