The Detroit Lions have been identified as the best fit for former second overall pick Chase Young, a talented edge rusher who has had a rollercoaster NFL career so far.
Young, who was selected by the Washington Commanders with the second overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has struggled with injuries and consistency throughout his career. However, he has still managed to record seven sacks and 66 total pressures last season.
The Lions are in need of another edge rusher to pair with Aidan Hutchinson, who has already proven himself as a dominant force with 28.5 sacks in just 39 games. Hutchinson’s presence on the defensive line has been a game-changer for the Lions, and adding Young to the mix could take their pass rush to the next level.
