Matthew Stafford, the former Detroit Lions quarterback, is reportedly in line for a significant trade. While details of the potential trade are scarce, Stafford’s impressive career stats make him an attractive asset for any team.
As the first overall pick in the 2009 NFL draft, Stafford has consistently demonstrated his skills on the field. He’s ranked in the top ten of all time in pass attempts, pass completions, passing yards, and passing touchdowns. Stafford also holds the record for being the fastest player in NFL history to reach 40,000 career passing yards.
Stafford’s time with the Lions was marked by notable achievements, including leading the team to their first playoff appearance since 1999 in 2011. He also set the NFL season record for comeback wins in 2016. After 12 seasons with the Lions, Stafford was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, where he led the team to victory in Super Bowl LVI.
