Peyton Manning Shared Encouraging Words with Dan Campbell After Lions’ Loss

Peyton Manning’s Encouraging Message to Dan Campbell After Lions’ Playoff Loss
The Detroit Lions’ historic 2024 season ended in heartbreak, but Peyton Manning wants Dan Campbell to know—he’s been there before.

Manning, who led the 2005 Indianapolis Colts to a 13-0 start before suffering a crushing playoff loss, reached out to Campbell after Detroit’s stunning Divisional Round defeat to Washington.

“I said, ‘I know how you feel, I’ve been there, and it’s not a good feeling. But we won it all the next year,’” Manning shared.

The former Colts quarterback understands how devastating losses can tempt a team to make drastic changes. But his message was clear: Stay the course.

“We were obviously doing something right. Just needed to do a little bit more, and ‘Finish’ became our theme the next season.”

The Lions, much like those Colts, have been building something special. Now, with Campbell leading the way, the focus shifts to finishing the job in 2025.
