Lions on Alert: Division Rival Eyeing Kevin Zeitler

Lions Face Tough Competition as Bears Emerge as Serious Threat for Kevin Zeitler
The Detroit Lions may have to fend off a division rival if they want to keep Kevin Zeitler on their offensive line. The veteran guard, who was a key part of the Lions’ success last season, is set to hit free agency, and the Chicago Bears could be a serious contender for his services.

Zeitler, who turns 35 on March 8, has reportedly had interest in joining the Bears in the past. Now, with former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson taking over as Chicago’s head coach, the connection makes even more sense. The Bears have plenty of cap space and a need for experienced linemen, making Zeitler a prime target as they look to reshape their interior offensive line.

Losing Zeitler would be tough for Detroit, but watching him suit up for a division rival would be even worse. The Lions still have time to lock him up before free agency begins, but if he tests the open market, Chicago could make a strong push to lure him away.
