Ohio State defensive line coach Larry Johnson has been with the team for over a decade, and despite rumors that this might be his final season, he’s not planning on stepping down anytime soon. When asked about his future, Johnson gave a simple yet powerful response: he’ll keep coaching until “God tells me to stop.”
Although he’s been an integral part of the program, including two national championships with the Buckeyes, it looks like Johnson is sticking around for now. His relationship with the new defensive coordinator, Matt Patricia, could play a big role in how long he stays on, but for now, he’s focused on his work with the defensive line this season. Some fans are thrilled to hear he’s staying, while others might be ready for a change.
Johnson’s commitment might just push Ohio State to start thinking about who’ll replace him eventually, especially since he’s been a cornerstone of the Buckeyes for so long. However, it seems like he’s not ready to leave just yet, and his future may be tied to how things go with Patricia and the team’s performance.
