Detroit Lions Re-Sign Beloved Offensive Lineman

Dan Skipper Re-Signs With Lions, Adds Stability to Offensive Line
The Detroit Lions are keeping a key piece of their offensive line depth, as Dan Skipper is returning on a one-year deal. The veteran lineman has become a fan favorite in Detroit, known for his versatility and physicality in the trenches.

Skipper played a crucial role in 2024, stepping in as a starter for five games when injuries hit the line. At 6-foot-9, 330 pounds, he brings experience at multiple positions, including left tackle, right tackle, and even as an extra blocker in jumbo packages.

With Kevin Zeitler’s future uncertain and Graham Glasgow entering the final year of his deal, Skipper’s return gives Detroit some much-needed stability up front. Head coach Dan Campbell praised his toughness and work ethic, calling him a perfect fit for the Lions’ identity.

Detroit continues to fine-tune its roster, having recently signed cornerback DJ Reed and made other key moves in free agency. Skipper’s return ensures the Lions’ dominant offensive line remains a strength heading into the 2025 season.
